Go green and save some green at United Way's annual costume swap and fall festival on Oct. 8, 2016.

United Way of Hunterdon County and Hunterdon County Family Success Center will host their annual Halloween Costume Swap & Fall Festival on Saturday, October 8 from 10:00am to 3:00pm. The event will take place at the Community Volunteer Center in downtown Flemington.

Prior to the event, donors can drop off gently used or new costumes at the United Way of Hunterdon County Community Volunteer Center, 20 Fulper Road, Flemington. Costumes can also be donated on the day of the event.  Extra costumes will be available even if you do not have a costume to swap! In addition to picking out a new costume, children can participate in crafts and games and even get their faces painted. There will be plenty of tasty fall treats too! This event is completely free of charge.

The National Halloween Costume Swap Day is a Green America project that helps raise awareness on ways to “go green” for Halloween. So get those costumes out from under the bed or the back of the closet and bring them to United Way Community Volunteer Center, Monday-Friday from 9:00am to 5:00am or by appointment. Then come join in the fun on Saturday, Oct.8th!

For more information or if you’d like to volunteer to help with either swap, please call United Way at (908) 782-3414 or Family Success Center at 908-237-0465.
