Community Health Fair

Eat. Dance. Play. And get healthy with United Way!

United Way of Hunterdon County will once again mark National Minority Health Month with its annual Health Fair on Saturday, April 28 from 10:00am to 1:00pm in Flemington.  This event is supported by the New Jersey Office of Minorities & Multicultural Health.

April also is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and in an effort to reinforce a holistic approach to health and wellness, United Way will host the Meta Theatre Company’s What Were You Wearing exhibit during the Health Fair.

The family-friendly installation provides a tangible response to one of our culture’s most pervasive myths about rape and sexual assault and seeks to challenge this dangerous and patriarchal line of thinking. Outfits featured have been recreated from true survivor storiesAn original performance based on the real-life stories of the Meta Theater Company will take place on the evening of April 28th at 7pm at the Volunteer Center. Admission is free.
