Career Skills Workshop
If you are preparing for a new career, better job, promotion or a raise, United Way is hosting a comprehensive two-part Career Skills Workshop on Thursday, March 1st and March 8th from 5:30 to 8:30pm at the Community Volunteer Center located at 20 Fulper Road in Flemington.
Offered in collaboration with Professional Services Group of Central New Jersey (PSGCNJ), this free, interactive workshop provides some of tools needed to achieve the following:
- Identify Self-Assessment &Career Life Skills – identify your skills, set SMART goals, develop a career profile;
- Create a Job Search Plan and learn how to market yourself;
- Networking skills;
- Learn to Tell Your Story – learn the elements of creating your accomplishments story, how to describe your skills and create your 30 second story;
- Interviewing and Job Offer Negotiation, and more.
The Career Skills Workshop will be held on Thursday, March 1 and March 8 from 5:30 to 8:30pm. The workshop is free of charge and includes pizza dinner; space is limited so contact Claire@uwhunterdon.org to reserve a seat or call 908-303-4311.
