As a community center of volunteerism, leadership and philanthropy, United Way of Hunterdon County envisions a community where all individuals and families achieve their potential through income stability, healthy lives and education.
System change can’t be affected by any one organization. United Way of Hunterdon County is proud to be working with a variety of partners in an effort to promote both direct and community impact programs that will collectively improve the quality of life for everyone in our community.
The increasing income disparity coupled with the growing difficulty to earn a living wage and live in Hunterdon County led to United Way of Hunterdon County’s Community Impact Agenda being driven by one main goal – to improve the financial stability of 10,000 county residents by the year 2020 – 10 by 20.
This is an ambitious goal but one that was agreed upon by a cross-section of community stakeholders as being paramount to seeing the middle class not only survive but succeed, and as part of that success be able to reach a hand out to those even less fortunate.
