Medication Access

There are a number of programs that can help relieve some of your health care costs. Below are links to several Medication Access programs supported by United Way:

No one should be forced to choose between paying for food, rent or medicine because of the high cost of prescriptions.

FamilyWize cards immediately lower the cost of medicine by an average of 30% or more for people without insurance or who take medications not covered by their plan. Just by presenting the FamilyWize card at their local pharmacy, customers save on the cost of their prescription medicine 80% of the time. The FamilyWize card provides immediate savings on prescription medicines, with no paperwork or forms to fill out.

These cards can be used by everyone in the community, not just people without insurance. They can be used during deductible periods or for prescription medication not covered by health insurance, Medicaid, Medicare or other benefit plans such as VA benefits. FamilyWize cards even include prescription pet medications when they are purchased at a pharmacy.

Hunterdon County Medication Access Partnership is a coalition of faith, healthcare, community, government, and business organizations whose objectives are to raise awareness and education about medication discount programs available to Hunterdon County New Jersey Residents. In addition we raise money for people who need medicine and are "falling through the cracks" of our healthcare system. Hunterdon County Medication Access Partnership is a program of the Institute for Medication Access and Compliance, a 501(c)(3) organization.

Hunterdon County Medication Access Partnership utilizes the skills of a nurse educator to coordinate activities which provide uninsured and underinsured residents of Hunterdon County with access to affordable prescription medications.
