Day of Caring at America's Grow a Row

On Tuesday, July 19th, United Way of Hunterdon teamed up with America's Grow A Row (AGAR) for a TIRO (Technical Interventions for the Reduction of Obesity) Day of Caring. This is an annual event organized for TIRO participants as an opportunity to give back to the community that supports them. This year, current and past participants alike were invited to attend, harvest, and have a fun night out. America’s Grow-a-Row’s (AGAR) mission is to positively impact as many lives as possible through a volunteer effort of planting, picking, rescuing, and delivering free fresh produce.

United Way of Hunterdon Anticipates High Demand for School Supply Program

Since 1998, United Way of Hunterdon County has provided local school students with school supplies for the start of the coming school year through their “Tools 4 School” program. Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch programs at their schools can receive most or all the school supplies they need according to grade level.

Clinic to check for lead in the blood. CDC recommends that children ages 1 to 5 as well as pregnant women be tested, however, if you want someone of any other age to be screened, it can also be done. There will also be COVID vaccines and boosters
